Jewish Anti-Israel Activists in a JEWISH SCHOOL

Shortly after being recruited to the Lerner School, a Jewish elementary school in Durham, NC, Guy and Sloan Rachmuth learned that the school had hired or appointed several vigorous anti-Israel activists: a teacher, a development director, and a board member.

  2. The story is detailed here (published by Ruthie Blum in Algemeiner)
  3. And Andrew Pessim wrote a 2 piece analysis article discussing the actions of Lerner School here
  4. The community has rightfully started to ask serious questions of the Lerner School.  See here: from Arutz Sheva.  This was also published in the Jewish Star Edition of Feb 24th, 2016.
  5. One of the most important articles was an opinion piece by Caroline Glick from the Jerusalem Post.

These individuals openly and proudly work with such antisemitic and Israel-hating groups as Students for Justice in Palestine, Jewish Voice for Peace, and the Boycott, Divest, Sanction (BDS) movement.

Outraged, the Rachmuths withdrew their children from the school. The school responded by suing them for breach of contract, a suit which, was later revealed, was politically motivated by the school’s determination to make an example of these vocal Israel-supporting Jews as well as by their discriminatory disdain for the several Israeli families attending the school.

The Rachmuths are determined to fight for their principles, their children’s Jewish identity, the Jewish people, and for the State of Israel. If they fail, then more “Jewish” day schools will soon be preaching harm to, and the downfall of, the only Jewish state in the world.

But Guy and Sloan can’t fight this battle alone. They need our help. Please contribute a few dollars toward their legal expenses so they can fight this battle in defense of their principles, and in defense of Israel.
